At Home Learning and Google Classroom

      Hi room 9,

Our plan for learning for the week of April 13 will come in a Google Slides file or a PDF. To access these documents go to the Taradale School website at the link below. The slides will guide you through the learning that is required. If you have any questions. Feel free to email me.

In order to facilitate our ongoing learning at home, I have created a Google Classroom  where we can communicate and share files and assignments. We will continue to develop and implement this resource over the coming days. To access the Google Classroom, accept the invitation I emailed to your school Gmail. We will also make use of Google Meet available at meet.google.com or as an app in the app store. We will use Google Meet to video chat as a class or in small groups as needed.

Enjoy the learning experience the teachers at Taradale School have worked together to create. It will be fun and engaging and will help maintain habits of learning. I look forward to connecting with you in a variety of ways. I am here to help you through this new experience.

      Phone Calls

      Hi class,

Starting tomorrow I will be contacting each of you individually to see how you are doing and what kind of access you have to technology at home. I will be phoning and/or emailing. I hope to hear from you all.

      D2L

      Hi Room 9,

Thank you for checking the blog. Right now the blog is still a good way to hear from me. You can also continue to check the Taradale School website and the CBE website.

I am working to develop a D2L homepage where you can log in and interact with the class and me. Some teachers use D2L in place of a blog. There are many other things D2L can do, and we may begin to use it more for online learning. For now it is pretty empty, but I have put a class chat up where you can tell the class and me about your spring break. Feel free to join the chat by logging into D2L with your CBE username and password and adding to the discussion.

      Take care,
      Mr. Woodruff

      Learning at Home

      Hi room 9,

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe during this difficult time. I miss you all and wish we could be together learning at school. The CBE and Taradale school are still working on a learn from home plan. I am learning lots of new ways to be able to connect with you while you are away. When more plans have been made, I will update the blog to let you know. Also keep watching the Taradale School website and the CBE website for any other updates.

Here is a link to some online resources for learning at home for now.

Have a safe spring break, and enjoy some time with your families.

Keep checking the blog, as I will add more content and links to opportunities to learn online. I am working to include as much as possible to allow you to continue the projects and learning we started this year.
